Grace taking nothing for granted

12 July 2012

Louth captain Grace Lynch with the All Ireland JFC Cup.
Grace Lynch knows Louth's victory over Offaly in the league will count for nothing on Sunday.

The Wee County girls accounted for the Faithful County earlier this year in the ladies national football league but Stabannon star Lynch tells The Argus it will be a whole new ballgame when the sides meet again at Dr Cullen Park this weekend with the Leinster ladies junior championship crown up for grabs:

"Championship is a totally-different ballgame. We know from previous years we've gone out and done well in the league and fallen apart in the championship - so we won't be reading anything into the last game.

"They're a strong, physical side and they had a forward on the Bord Gais League Team of the Year. When we beat them in Offaly, it was very close before we pulled away in the end.

"Both teams were trying new things out that day. We had a lot of new girls coming into the panel and it was about testing players in different positions and getting the best team out for the championship."
