St Kierans are Leinster champions
St Kieran's (Kilkenny) 1-14
St Peter's (Wexford) 1-6
St Kieran's were crowned Leinster senior colleges hurling champions for the 53rd time in Netwatch Cullen Park today.
After holding a slender 0-5 to 0-4 interval lead, the Kilkenny school pulled away in the second-half to record an eight-point victory over their Wexford opponents.
Midfielder Richie Leahy cancelled out St Peter's early second-half goal, scored by John Lee Meyler, while Joe Connolly (3), Ray Lahart, Liam Blanchfield, Billy Ryan and Sean Morrissey all finished with two points apiece.
