Shore appeal to be heard next week

Andrew Shore's appeal against a 48-week ban for playing illegally in Britain is set to be heard by the GAA's Central Appeals Committee next week.
The Wexford hurling star was suspended after an investigation by the British Provincial Council found that he was not properly registered to play for Warwickshire club Roger Casements in a match last month.
Should the suspension stand Shore - who plays his club hurling and football with Parnells in Dublin - would be banned from all club and county activities for most of next year.
An inter-county transfer must be completed by any home-based player who wishes to play in Britain - even if only in a one-off tournament. Shore believed all the necessary paperwork was in place, but the British Provincial Council has ruled otherwise.
