February 17, 2013The couples performing on finals night were Ronan Kelly & Dearbhla Arkins, Jimmy Laverty & Mary Fitzpatrick, Alan Henderson & Siobhan McCann, Aiden Kelly & Roisin McMullan, Ray Addis & Michelle Morgan and Anthony Doran & Oonagh Doyle.
Each couple performed 2 routines and Ray Addis & Michelle Morgan had the highest combined scores after the judges had finished giving their votes and it was then over to the public to have their say. This confirmed Ray Addis and Michelle Morgan as worthy champions.
The nights dancing was rounded off with all 11 couples performing a final routine of I've Had The Time of My Life, something I am sure all the dancers will remember for many years to come.
Over the past number of months, a huge amount of time and effort has went into the planning and staging of these shows and they would not have been possible without the contribution and commitment of all the dancers, organisers Pep Keenan, Cormac McMullan and Vince Arkins, production team of Paul McArdle and Simon Walsh, judges, sponsors, volunteers, hosts Micky Flynn and Mary Boyle, choreographer Shane Berger and everybody else who helped in any way.

Dance classes will be starting in St Johns on Thursday 21st February. Get to be as good as some of the St Johns Strictly Come Dancing contestants with lessons from choreographer Shane Berger. Check out the St Johns website and Facebook pages for further details.
Lotto numbers were 6, 9, 10 & 14. There were no £10 winners this week. Next week's jackpot is now £1,650. You can download a Lotto Lifers form from the Downloads section of the club website which enables you to play the same Lotto numbers for up to 15 weeks at a time.
There will be training for the Under 12 squad at the club on Sunday at 12 noon. All underage players are reminded that mouth guards must be used in all games and training sessions.
The next St Johns Golf Society outing will be on Sunday 24th February at Mayobridge Golf Club. Future outings will now be held on the last Sunday of each month.
One of Ireland's top country music attractions Derek Ryan will be performing in St Johns on 12th April. Further details to follow.
