Replying To preddan:  "This issue of bringing in outside players to play for kildare has come back to haunt them and rightly so.....3 chose club commitments in their own counties over lining out for kildare in an all or nothing had to win game v carlow and were soundly defeated. This will have to stop this method joe quaid brought in as in the long run kildare hurling is suffering because these players didnt show, much respect for their adopted county. These 3 should not b allowed play for kildare anymore simple as that as obviously they couldn't care less to begin with."
I believe the rule is that if there's a fixture clash, the players are obliged to play with their clubs.

Draw on Monday.

Antrim v carlow or down

Wicklow v carlow or down

Think it's also a draw for home advantage.

Wicklow should be given a bye to the final.

Why ? I've no idea.

Wonder is Thomas Walsh any good with a hurl ?

Typical of you sponger. That comment shows how much you know about Thomas Walshe (note how his name is spelled). FYI he was a better hurler than a footballer, far more natural. Won an all Ireland colleges medal in hurling also. Hope we get ye in the semi by the way. Love giving ye a good beating and we're doing it now so often in football it's getting boring.

London are a decent side and on their day can beat better sides, have beaten Kildare and Carlow in the last 2 years.

Yes, London are a decent side, that is why beating Kildare over the past 2 years was not a surprise to me, I would have expected that.
London beating Carlow 2 years ago may have been a small surprise, to beat Carlow this year would have been a surprise slightly bigger shall we say.

London hammering Roscommon isn't a surprise. Any time I've seen Roscommon play in the last few years they've been poor.

I'd love to know who thought Down were dark horses in the Christy Ring. They are in a lower league division than Kildare, London, Carlow, Armagh and Antrim. They also lost by 7 and 20 points in the league to Wicklow and Meath.

I was expecting this game to go either way, but Down travelled across obviously psyched up for this game, they were a couple of points up at half time, could have been more, they owned both halves and won the match 2-19 to 0-19, they are in the semi final on merit. Who ever thought Down were dark horses obviously thought it through. However in my opinion there are now three dark horses and one favourite.

Spin it whatever way you like, but Carlow and Antrim are the hot favourites, Down and to a lesser extent Wicklow are outsiders.

The draw keeps Antrim and Carlow apart and I'll be surprised if both aren't contesting the final.

For Down and Wicklow to be handed away draws is very bad luck.
Was the draw on TV or done behind closed doors?

Terrible bad luck all right Sponger.

A real injustice and all in Carlow feel awful about it.

Wicklow have been very hard done by, they should at least have been given home advantage. Antrim now might have to beat the two teams they've already beaten to win it. What a crazy competition, it should have been straight knockout and a Wicklow v Antrim final.
