The ladies model is not correct. Ball in play is the option.

Ball in play option would also be a disaster. In an average 30 minute half of hurling or football the ball is only in play for about 20 mins. So you could be looking at 45 mins to play a 30 minute game of football.

just like basketball, they have had to tenths of seconds to the game clock given the amount of dead ball situations, but they do allow the game to continue until ball becomes a dead ball. But yes look at the NBA I have seen the last two minutes run for 15 minutes!!!!

In the Longford Senior Hurling Final on Sunday the ball went dead & the ref blew the full-time whistle even though the umpire had raised his arm for a '65 for Slashers. Slashers lost by one point. Anyone ever seen this (or '45 in football) happen before??? keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4088 - 06/10/2017 17:54:50 2053640 Link 0 |
Exactly. You are paying to watch 20 minutes of play. Make them 25 minutes halves of actual play and any deliberate delay of game penalized.
