Galway deserved to win, got their scores easier and had a broader spread of scorers. Waterford tried their best but were relying on defensive mistakes from Galway to keep them in the game. My score prediction of 1-24 to 2-18 was pretty close, Galway were always going to heavily outscore Waterford in points and Waterford would need goals to keep in touch and that's how it transpired.

Waterford will be very disappointed but Galway delivered when the match was there to be won in the last 10 minutes.So often, Galway teams have not done that.Hopefully Waterford will have their day.They are young enough to be back.

Galway deserved it in the end, massive congrats to them. Great scenes after the game, great to watch a new team get there.

Always going to be hard for whoever lost this one. Tough on Waterford but an up and coming team and are contenders for the foreseeable future and they will be back.

Not a classic, very scrappy at times but Galway fully deserved it. Very sad and emotional to see the young family of the late Tony Keady on the pitch. Life is very cruel and unfair at times.

A great win for Galway,Waterford had chances but failed to take them,another day they would go over,I think in hindsight that Conor Gleeson was a big loss for Waterford,they are young enough to be back challenging for an AI,emotional day for Galway,worthy champions.
