We had a feast of action this evening, with both All-Ireland Club SFC semi-finals taking place as well as the start of the national hurling league.
The big throw-in to the 2016 NHL took place at 7pm, when Tipperary hosted Dublin and Limerick entertained Wexford, with both home sides coasting to facile victories.
Prior to that, crucial All-Ireland final places were up for grabs as Ballyboden St Enda's (Dublin) locked horns with Clonmel Commercials (Tipperary) at O'Moore Park (4:30) and Crossmaglen Rangers (Armagh) met Castlebar Mitchels (Mayo) at Breffni Park (6:30).
