Kilkenny CBS' date with destiny
29 March 2012
On Saturday, Kilkenny CBS will bid for the All-Ireland senior hurling colleges title.
The James Street lads face Nenagh CBS in the decider at Semple Stadium, having lost the Leinster final to St Kieran's before coming through the back door with wins over Munster champions Waterford Colleges after extra time and Portumna CS.
Their opponents from St Joseph's CBS stunned St Kieran's in the other semi-final.
Kilkenny CBS - managed by Niall Sheehan, Tom Clarke, Seamus Dwyer and Matt Ruth - are bidding to land the Croke Cup for the second time.
Their previous success came back in 1981 when North Mon of Cork were beaten by 3-5 to 1-8 at Walsh Park, Waterford.
