CBS still on course
15 March 2012
Kilkenny CBS are still in the hunt for All-Ireland senior 'A' colleges hurling glory.
The beaten Leinster finalists got their national campaign up and running in style at Walsh Park on Saturday when they disposed of Harty Cup winners Waterford Colleges on a 2-12 to 1-12 scoreline.
The victory means they are now through to the last four (they face Portumna CS on St Patrick's Day) as they bid to win their second All-Ireland title (the previous one coming in 1981).
After Saturday's win, manager Seamus Dwyer said in the Kilkenny People: "It was pure heart and a lot of good hurling that dragged us through.
"The players have it all in abundance. The attitude, the work all year from the whole panel has been fantastic.
"After we lost the Leinster final, we set our aim on winning the All-Ireland. That dream is still alive. The players kept it alive."
