Attracta's march on
15 March 2012
St Attracta's remain on course for the All-Ireland senior 'B' colleges football title.
The Tubbercurry community school - managed by Colm McGee - advanced to the All-Ireland series in style with a 1-8 to 0-6 provincial final win over Rice College Westport at Claremorris last Saturday.
They have now won the Connacht 'B' crown three times in seven years and the goal is to emulate the 2006 All-Ireland-winning side.
There was no such luck last weekend for Summerhill College, who were edged out by St Jarlath's in a thrilling senior final at Ballyhaunis, 0-16 to 2-9. That was their third successive provincial final defeat.
