Colleges seeking Connacht double
08 March 2012
Summerhill and St Attracta's will both bid for Connacht Colleges titles on Saturday.
The two Sligo colleges will contest the provincial 'A' and 'B' deciders respectively at separate venues on what could prove to be a historic day for underage football in the Yeats County.
The 'A' final is at Ballyhaunis at 3pm and is a repeat of the 2011 decider, with Summerhill again squaring up to holders St Jarlath's.
Summerhill are aiming to take the spoils for the first time since 1985.
The 'B' final takes place at Claremorris at 12.30 and pits 2006 All-Ireland champions St Attracta's against Rice College (Westport).
Colm McGee's charges showed tremendous resolve in their semi-final, beating Ballyhaunis CS after extra time.
