Nenagh CBS manager Donagh O'Donnell was gutted after the Harty Cup final loss.

Having seen his side beaten by Waterford Colleges in the provincial decider on Sunday, the losing manager told The Tipperary Star:

"We're gutted really. We thought we had everything done right. We kept to our routine, but we just didn't show up for the game.

"I think that maybe nerves got to us really. I mean, we leaked two goals in the first ten minutes and after that it was always going to be uphill."

But O'Donnell had nothing but praise for his players: "I'm very proud of them.

"They are such a good bunch. They worked very hard and, despite the way the first half went, they just kept plugging away.

"They kept plugging right to the end. It was only in the second half that we started to do okay."
