Summerhill reach another final

01 March 2012
Summerhill College remain on course for their first Connacht senior 'A' championship in 27 years.

Bidding for their eighth provincial title at this level, they are through to the 2012 Connacht final, wherein they will face traditional giants St Jarlath's of Tuam, winners of the title 47 times.

This will be a repeat of last year's final and it will be the third successive year that Summerhill have contested the 'A' decider.

In 2010, they were beaten in the final by St Gerald's of Castlebar but they turned the table in style at Ballyhaunis last week when overturning a 1-5 to no score deficit to defeat the Mayo school by 2-5 to 1-5 at the semi-final stage.
