Kilmurry-Ibrickane were crowned Clare senior football champions at the second attempt at Cusack Park today.

A dominant second-half display saw them cruise to a 2-13 to 0-6 victory over 2014 champions Cratloe.

A closely-contested first-half finished with the winners two points to the good - 0-6 to 0-4 - but they took control of proceedings on the restart.

Having coughed up a late equaliser to Cathal McInerney in the drawn encounter, Kilmurry-Ibrickane restricted Colm Collins' charges to just two points in the second-half this time around.

An early Martin McMahon goal was a sign of things to come while Keelan Sexton's converted stoppage time penalty applied the gloss to their victory.

The winners must now turn their focus to a Munster Club date with Kerry champions Dr Crokes which is fixed for next weekend.
