Our Under 13 team 1 opened the Championship with a win against Aughrim in Avondale on Friday. Well Done girls. The next round is on Friday 27th July. The Seniors played Avondale in the Summer League on Tuesday.
Well Done to the County Camogie team who defeated Cill Dara in the Junior 'B' Championship in Dunlavin on Sunday - Special mention of Celina O Toole who marked her first start for the County with 2 goals! Naomi Burke and Aisling McCabe joined the crew in Dunlavin as well as regulars Roisin Mulford, Capt Nicky Keddy and Frances Kearns. Meanwhile, Holly Martin made her first appearance in goals for the County Under 16s against Roscommon and acquitted herself very well. They were unfortunate to lose by the minimum margin of 1 point! They get a second chance next week-end with the next fixture TBC.
7 of our U14s played with the County Development Squad at a Blitz in Naomh Brid in Blanchardstown on Saturday.
Nicky Keddy represented the Wicklow at the Leinster Finals of the Puc Fada in the Phoenix Park on Sunday before dashing off for the County match in Dunlavin. Thanks to the organisers for allowing her be the first contestant to start.
Con O Ceadaigh was the man in the middle for the All-Ireland Junior Championship clash of Westmeath and Cavan played in Cusack Park Mullingar on Saturday along with umpires Martina, Jim, Breda and Nicky.

For the Summer holiday season we have made some changes to Tuesday training times.
'The Grasshoppers' have reached the end of their first outdoor session this Summer - in spite of extremely bad weather since they started! Well Done to all the girls who were involved. We look forward to seeing you all back after the holidays on Tuesday August 28th. Under 10s and Under 8s continue at 5.45-6.30 in Colaiste Chraobh Abhann and hopefully the weather will improve and allow us attend some Blitzes over the next few weeks! The next Blitz will be in Arklow.
Under 11s and Under 12 will train together at 6.30-7.15 and Under 13 and Under 14s will train together 6.30-7.30.
Senior and Under 16 Training is on Thursday at 7pm and we play Arklow Rocks in the Summer League on Tuesday.
