Kiltale camogs maintain unbeaten run

14 July 2012

Kiltale and Meath star Cheyenne O'Brien
Kiltale 2-6
Ratoath 0-3

Kiltale came into this game unbeaten in the championship and they faced tough opposition in Ratoath. Ratoath were looking for retribution to their league defeat earlier in the year.

The first half was a tightly fought contest with Ratoath doing most of the attacking. The Kiltale backs were solid only allowing Ratoath score two points in the first half. Kiltale had few chances in the first half and it was a Donna McGann goal that was the difference at the break. Half time Kiltale 1-2 Ratoath 0-2.

The second half saw Kiltale dominate most of the play and an excellent individual goal by Sarah Kelly and two points by Cheyenne O'Brien gave Kiltale a more comfortable lead. Ratoath continued to apply pressure but the Kiltale defence held firm. Ratoath only managed to score one point in the second half. Full time score Kiltale 2-6 Ratoath 0-3.
