On Thursday U14 and U12 goalkeepers Holly and Sara as well as Ava and Emma attended the Goalkeeping Clinic held in the County Grounds in Aughrim where they learned lots about goalkeeping and had a very enjoyable evening - many thanks to the organisers.
This week, Training is on Tuesday as usual for all ages up to U14 and the Seniors and U16s train on Thursday. The Under 14s play Donard on Wednesday in a refixed match and they play Annacurra on Monday 11th. The Under 12s play Glenealy on Friday June 8th in Colaiste Chraobh Abhann.
Our very best wishes go to all our players and supporters sitting the Leaving and Junior Certificate exams - we look forward to seeing you back in action in a short while when the exams are all behind you!
Preparations are well underway for the National Feile na nGael - an Annual Festival of U14 Camogie and Hurling - this year hosted by Dublin. We are delighted to be taking part as the Host Club to Roscommon Champions - Athleague. We are looking forward to welcoming them to the East Coast and ensuring they have a memorable trip to Feile 2012. This all happens at the beginning of July. Athleague arrive in Kilcoole on Thursday July 5th and we play our first group match against them. Both teams head to Croke Park in the evening for the traditional Feile Parade which will take us from Croke Park via Mountjoy Square and Parnell Square past the Reviewing Stand in O'Connell Street and on to Middle Abbey Street.
It's off to Portmarnock early on Friday morning where ourselves and Athleague play Naomh Mearnog and their visiting Club from Donegal. Semi-finals will be on Friday evening at 7pm with Finals in Croke Park and Parnell Park on Saturday morning. All promises an exciting few days for Camogie people around the country! We invite everybody to come along and join in the days' activities - anybody in the local community with Roscommon connections is extra welcome to come and welcome our visitors! More details will be available over the next few weeks.
