Boyle back in the fold

February 02, 2005
Erin's Isle's Robbie Boyle will make his first start for Dublin in six years after being named at full forward for the clash with Mayo at Parnell Park on Friday night 4th February. Boyle returned to the Dublin squad last year but did not make an appearance during the championship campaign, but new manager Paul Caffrey has decided to hand the big full forward his opportunity. Boyle was part of the squad that won the 1995 All-Ireland final when he was introduced late on in the win over Tyrone. Na Fianna's Jason Sherlock will lead the attack at centre forward, while Paddy Christie has been handed the captain's role for the year. David Henry has been chosen in a uncustomary role of half forward. Henry has played all his inter county football at either corner or half back. Dublin: Stephen Cluxton, Barry Cahill, Paddy Christie, Stephen O'Shaughnessy, Paul Casey, Bryan Cullen, Paul Griffin, Shane Ryan, Ciaran Whelan, David Ryan, Jason Sherlock, Senan Connell, David O'Callaghan, Robbie Boyle, Thomas Quinn.
