Armagh looking forward

February 21, 2020

An architect's view of what the stunning £2.5 million Armagh GAA Centre of Excellence will look like.

Armagh chairman Michael Savage admits that the board are delighted to have made progress on their centre of excellence.

Last week, plans for the centre were revealed to the public and Savage told the Armagh GAA website that now is the time to push on.

“We are delighted to reach an important key milestone on this significant development project. Our clubs fully endorsed the proposed development last September and we are pleased to have submitted the planning application for processing,” said Savage.

“This really is testament to the tremendous work of the project board who has played a vital role in bringing this project to the planning stage and I want to thank them for all their work to date.

“It is an exciting time for Armagh GAA as we take another vital step forward to deliver what is a well-known fact that we need additional and improved facilities for all our county teams and academy squads.

“While we await the outcome of the planning process, which will be later this year, our focus will now be towards exploring all funding opportunities and we strongly encourage all our clubs to continue to raise vital finance through the club draw.”
