While the result didn't go his team's way, young Meath GAA supporter Tom Lynch still left Healy Park yesterday a happy man after being presented with a Tyrone jersey by manager Mickey Harte and a pair of gloves by goalkeeper Niall Morgan.
Accompanied by his father Derek, brother Charlie, sister Lucy and cousin Alan Gibney, Tom was delighted to meet the Tyrone pair after making the long journey from his home in Kilskyre to support the Royals.
The seven-year-old was diagnosed as a baby with a condition called Hypotonia and Global Development Delay (GDD), which reduces muscle strength, but this doesn't stop him from following his favourite team all over Ireland.
TweetNot a great day for @MeathGAA today against @TyroneGAALive, but you won’t hear a bad thing said about Mickey Harte or @niallmorgan01 from me,as they both took time to chat with our Tom. Two great Gaels and two absolute gents. Thanks lads ye made a little Meath mans day today. 😊 pic.twitter.com/Ap3vCwxIeM
