Kildare made it three wins from as many outings in the Leinster MFC at the expense of Kilkenny in Nowlan Park last night.

With a place in the last four already secured, Lilywhites manager Colin Ward took the opportunity to experiment with this team and they emerged victorious on a scoreline of 1-12 to 0-5.

Oisin Milmoe netted the game’s only goal in the first-half and, despite accumulating 12 wides in the opening period, the visitors led by 1-5 to 0-3 at the change of ends.

Cats ‘keeper Jack Conway capped a good performance with a penalty save at the end.

After a three year absence, Kilkenny returned to the competition this year and manager DJ Carey and his players can be proud of their effort in this defeat.
