Only Mountbellew-Moylough now stand between Corofin and a remarkable six-in-a-row of Galway SFC titles.
It follows yesterday's semi-finals at Tuam Stadium which saw Mountbellew-Moylough defeat Salthill/Knocknacarra and Corofin overcome Annaghdown.
Mountbellew-Moylough qualified for their third Frank Fox Cup decider in four years thanks to a 1-13 to 1-10 win over the Seasiders. A Colin Ryan goal inside the first minute gave them a dream start, but Salthill/Knocknacarra were ahead when Gearoid Armstrong netted in the 37th minute. However, six points from Barry McHugh and four from Michael Daly put the east Galway club within 60 minutes of their first county title since 1986.
In the other semi-final, former All-Star corner back Kieran Fitzgerald put the shackles on Galway captain Damien Comer as Corofin accounted for Annaghdown on a 0-12 to 0-8 scoreline.
Corofin had Ronan Steede sent off early in the second half, but they made light of their numerical disadvantage as scores from Dylan Wall, Steede and Gary Sice steered them into another final.
