Down and Kilcoo star Darragh O’Hanlon is already looking forward to making a return to action in 2019 after undergoing spinal surgery yesterday.
O'Hanlon had the operation in the Ulster Independent Clinic in Belfast and afterwards tweeted a photo of himself giving a thumbs-up from his hospital bed.
The 25-year-old sustained the back injury at a county training session in May and missed Down and Kilcoo's championship campaigns as a result. He was a massive loss to Kilcoo whose bid for a seven-in-a-row of Down SFC titles was dashed by Burren in last Sunday's county final.
Surgery complete ✅
