Sunday’s Leitrim senior and intermediate football championship finals will see 21 sets of brothers take to the field for the two games according to a report in the Leitrim Observer, while cousins will be in opposition to one another!

Pairc Sean MacDiarmada will certainly have a family feel to it as Aughawillan take on Mohill in the SFC final, while Annaduff take on Fenagh St Cailin’s in the IFC decider.

Aughawillan have no fewer than eight sets of brothers in their squad, while their opponents Mohill have six sets of siblings.

Annaduff will parade four sets of brothers and their opponents have just the three sets!

Mohill’s James and David Manning could possibly be in direct opposition to their cousins Ciaran and Stephen Gilheany.

Cousins will face off against each other in the intermediate final also as the O’Rourke’s and Duignan’s do battle.

There are fifteen county finals taking place this weekend with ten of those in football. Join our match tracker on Sunday afternoon for live updates from around the county grounds.
