Roscommon have been handed a boost ahead of tomorrow's Super 8s tie against Donegal with the news that David Murray is free to play.

The defender picked up his third black card of the season in last weekend's heavy defeat to Tyrone, which automatically resulted in a one-match suspension. His other black cards came in last January's Allianz League opener against Meath and against Galway in the Connacht SFC final.

The Rossies appealed all three black cards to the Central Hearings Committee and succeeded in having the last one overturned, meaning Murray is eligible to line out against Donegal at Dr Hyde Park tomorrow.

"The alleged infraction on 14 July was not proven and therefore the CHC directed that his record be amended accordingly," a GAA statement read.
