Sligo dual star Gerard O'Kelly-Lynch play two big games in the space of a few hours and over 200km apart yesterday.

At 12 noon, the busy St. Mary's clubman lined out at corner forward for the Sligo hurlers as they edged out Lancashire by 4-15 to 2-20 in the Lory Meagher Cup at Croke Park.

He then headed for Markievicz Park where the Sligo footballers faced Armagh in Round 2 of the All-Ireland qualifiers at 6pm. After coming on as a blood sub in the first half, O'Kelly-Lynch replacd Luke Nicholson for the last 20 minutes of the Yeats County's 1-13 to 1-19 loss, meaning it was a day of mixed fortunes for the dual player.
