Corofin's Galway SFC six-in-a-row bid remains firmly on course

Corofin remain firmly on course for a six-in-a-row of Galway senior football championship titles after their 25-point win tonight.

The reigning All-Ireland champions were in top-form at Tuam Stadium where they hammered Cortoon Shamrocks by 5-16 to 0-6 in their Group 1 round 2 clash.

Ronan Steede scored the first goal to help Kevin O'Brien's charges into a 1-5 to 0-3 half-tme lead, and then the floodgates opened on the resumption with further three-pointers from Dylan Canney, Martin Farragher and Gary Sice (2).

The Frank Fox Cup second round action continues this weekend which sees the following games down for decision:
