Cluxton out for four weeks - report

Dublin's Stephen Cluxton goes down under a challenge from Longford's James McGivney

Dublin captain Stephen Cluxton is facing at least a month on the sidelines after injuring his ribs in last Sunday's Leinster SFC semi-final victory over Longford.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper had to be substituted after shipping a heavy challenge from James McGivney during the first-half for which the Longford forward received a straight red card.

The Irish Daily Mirror reports today that Cluxton is now set to miss the next four weeks as he recovers from the injury, ruling him out of Sunday week's provincial decider against Laois.

It is set to be the first championship game the Parnells clubman will miss for the Dubs since 2004 when he was suspended for his county's Leinster quarter-final against Westmeath.
