Carlow manager Turlough O'Brien admits that there should be a big gulf in class between themselves and Kildare.

Sunday's Leinster SFC quarterfinal clash between the sides sees a Division One team taking on a Division Four side (although Carlow are now promoted and Kildare relegated).

O'Brien knows that Kildare are strong favourites and he can't argue with that but he did stress to the Carlow Nationalist that his charges will give it their all at O'Connor Park.

"Look, there is a big gulf between Division 1 and Division 4 and we will be up against it but we are looking forward to the challenge," said O'Brien.

"We are not a bit intimidated by them. We are looking forward to seeing how we measure up."
