Tipperary ace Jason Forde says he sees no issue with himself and Seamus Callanan spearheading the Premier men's attack this summer.

Forde took over the top-scoring duties from the injured Callanan during the National League campaign, notching an impressive 7-72, including 2-12 in his county's final defeat to Kilkenny, and has dismissed suggestions that both he and the Drom & Inch star won't be as effective alongside each other in the full-forward line.

"I wouldn't put too much weight on that, to be honest," Forde told The Irish Times.

"I suppose we haven't played (together) a whole pile. Over the last couple of years I've been more coming off the bench, so I don't know where that theory has come from. Seamie (Callanan) is a top, top player, has done a lot for us over the last few years, but I see no problem with us playing together. 

"He's put in serious effort in fairness, a top guy, a big leader, and even for me he's been great, chatting away, little bits of advice here and there, great to bounce things off. But he's pushing himself very hard to get himself right."

Callanan is expected to make his return for Tipp this Sunday when Michael Ryan's charges take on Limerick in the first round of the Munster SHC.
