Rising Westmeath ladies football star Lucy McCartan was named the Under 19 Women's International Player of the Year at the FAI Awards last night.
The multi-talented Mullingar youngster saw off competition from Niamh Farrelly and Alex Kavanagh to land the prestigious award. Derry's Shane Duffy was named as Senior International Player of the Year at the same ceremony.
