The postponed Allianz Hurling League Division 1 quarter-final between Wexford and Galway won't now be played until next weekend.
The eagerly-awaited clash was provisionally re-fixed for tomorrow, Bank Holiday Monday, after it was postponed due to snow earlier today, but Innovate Wexford Park remains unplayable and attempts to find an alternative venue have failed. The CCCC will confirm the re-fixture details on Tuesday.
The postponement means the Allianz Hurling League Division 1 final has been put back to Sunday, April 8, which is two weeks after its original date of March 24.
The Allianz Football League Division 2 and 4 finals are also likely to be played on the same weekend, which will have implications for counties who have already scheduled club championship games on the basis that April would be ring-fenced for club activity.
