Corn Ui Mhuirí round-up: 'Sem' survive stern test to set up Chorca Dhuibhne showdown

Reigning All-Ireland champions St Brendan's, Killarney survived a stern test from De La Salle, Macroom this afternoon to qualify for the Corn Ui Mhuirí (Munster PPS SF A) semi-finals.

The 'Sem' trailed by five-points at the quarter-hour mark in Ballyvourney but hit five unanswered scores to take a 0-8 to 0-5 lead into the second-half before eventually winning out on a 0-17 to 0-13 scoreline.

St Brendan's have set-up an intriguing showdown with PS Chorca Dhuibhne who were 0-16 to 1-7 winners over IS Killorglin in Tralee. Eamonn Fitzmaurice's side were always in control with Dylan Geaney, younger brother of Conor, catching the eye.

Last year's runners-up Tralee CBS saw off the challenge of St Flannans, Ennis - 4-16 to 1-7 - in Rathkeale having led by 2-8 to 1-5 at the break.

The other quarter-final was an all-Cork clash between Hamilton HS, Bandon and Colaiste Choilm, Ballincollig which the latter won by 2-12 to 2-8 at the Valley Rovers GAA grounds.
