Counihan won't comment on All-Star selection

15 October 2010

Cork's Conor Counihan
Cork manager Conor Counihan has refused to comment on the controversial All-Star football team selection.

There is outrage in Cork at the fact that they received only four awards, and none in the forward line, despite winning both the National League and All-Ireland titles this year. Last year, the Rebels picked up five awards, despite playing in Division 2 of the National League and losing the All-Ireland final to Kerry.

But with Counihan due to manage the 2010 All-Stars in next month's exhibition game in Kuala Lumpur, he had decided against commenting on the matter.

"I will be managing that team on the tour, so won't be making any comment," he said.
