Blessington Seniors -  Seniors away Bray on Tues 25 Apr at 7.30pm. 

Jun A - A good win at home v Donard Glen in the West League on Tues 18 4-07 to 2-03 and a bad loss away v Knockananna (Tinahely) Football League Div 3 Rd 4 on Sun 23 Apr.

 

Jun B -  Away v Kiltegan on Thurs 27 Apr at 7.30pm.

 

Wicklow Minors - Hard luck to the Wicklow Minors who lost to Longford on Sat 22 Apr.

 

Wicklow Hurlers - Well done to the county hurlers who snatched a win at home to London on Sun 23 Apr.

 

Senior Ladies - are away to Na Fianna on Wed 26 at 7.15pm.

 

U16 girls - U16's away v Dunlavin on Tues 25 at 7pm.

 

U14 girls - U14 (white) v Kilcoole and U14 (Blue) v Ballykelly at home on Thurs 27 Apr at 7pm.

 

U12 girls - U12 (White) at home v Carnew and U12 girls (Blue) at home v St Pat's on Tues 25 at 7pm.

Wicklow Ladies - Wicklow Ladies Football - Lidl Ladies NFL Division 4 final on Sun 30 Apr at 2pm in Clane G.A.A. Kildare. Get to Clane on Sun 30 Apr and support our County Ladies team and our club ladies...Molly Cullen Shauna Byrne Kim Connors Amy Ryan and Shona O'Connor. Physio -Physio on Wed at 7pm in the clubhouse. €5 donation. Players training will have first preference.

G4M&O - G4M&O - Training Wed 7pm to 8pm after the Easter break. New playing members are always welcome. Anyone over 18 is welcome to come along and try it out for a few weeks no previous football experience is needed. Academy - Blessington GAA Academy runs every Sat morning from 10am until 11.15 am for boys and girls aged 4 - 6. The purpose of the academy is for the kids to have fun and to introduce children to the basic skills of Gaelic Football. New members are always welcome throughout the year. The club has many teams for boys and girls aged from U7 up to U18. Go Games - A great morning of football for our U7's and U8's away to Dunlavin on Sat 22 Apr.

U11 NKL - Our U11 team played Sallins at home on Sat 22 Apr. It turned out to a be a game of two halves with Sallins having a large lead by half time. Our lads rallied in the second half and put in a great performance but not quite enough to win in the end.

U11 Wicklow League - We host Eire Og in the 3rd round of the league on Wed 26 Apr at 7.15pm.

U12/13 Boys - Training this week Wed and Fri 6.30 - 8pm. U12's played Clane in NKL on Fri 21 at home. Clane dominated the first 15 mins of the game and racked up a big score. Blessington started to get to grips with Clane up to half time and went onto win the 2nd half but couldn't catch Clane and in the end lost to a very good Clane team.

U12's - Away to Confey Wed. 26 7.15pm. Time TBC. U13's away v St Nicks Mon 24 Apr 7.15pm.

Minors - At home v Bray Emmets on Mon 24 Apr at 7.15pm.

Hurling - Well done to Michael Dwyers who are representing Wicklow in the Hurling Feile. At half-time it was Michael Dwyers 2-5 Luke O'Tooles 0-1. There was no stopping the boys and they finished on a score of 3-12 to 0-01. Blessington had 7 lads on the team - Conor Gilligan, Adam Williamson, Austin Brennan, Patrick Doherty, Samuel Gough, Liam Phibbs and Conor Richardson. Feile na nGael will be held in Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford 16 - 18 June 2017.

Cul Camp - Football 10 July - 14 July and hurling 24 - 28 July. Contact Chris O'Connor on 086 2239403 to register early. €60 first child. €50 second child. €40 for third and subsequent children. For children attending a second camp, without the complimentary gear the cost is 35. Attendance is open to school children ages 6 years to 13 years. Lotto - There was one lucky winner of the €2800 jackpot on Tues 18 April 2017. Congrats to David Richardson. The lotto jackpot will now be €2,000 on Tues 2 May 2017. Strictly Blessington Take 2 -  Sat 22 Apr saw the culmination of all the hard work with Strictly Take 2 when a cheque for €46844.12 was presented to the club chairman John Williamson on behalf of our 32 wonderful dancers and committee, an exact year to the date of the presentation Strictly Blessington 2016 cheque. "We Delivered" Not in a million years did we think that we could exceed the amount raised last year. A massive thank you to our 32 dancers for their unselfish dedication, commitment and friendship. Last night was your night and what a night it was. Thank you for the presentation of a framed signed poster by Rachel and Mikey on behalf of all the dancers to John Williamson (who represented Blessington GAA Executive Committee). Hopefully this along with last year's poster will take pride of place in the new club house in the not too distant future. Thanks to Rachel for the two framed collages of wonderful memories. Thanks to Lisa Charles for photographs and Barry Hamilton for the fab photos which he gave to all the dancers and committee and also the fabulous framed photo of the dancers and the committee. The framed photo was accepted by Brendan McGarr which will be presented to the Kirby Group who were our main sponsor for the event. Finally, to the Avon Ri for allowing us to host what was a wonderful nights entertainment. It was enjoyed by all. Thank you. We hope to have the DVD for all the dancers in the next week and anyone who wishes to purchase a DVD it will cost €10 or 2 for €15! Please contact any of the dancers or Strictly committee. Clothing Collection ongoing - collecting good quality second hand clothing suitable for re-use. Please fill as many black bin bags as you can - the more we collect, the more our club receives.
