One of the oldest and best known gaels in Wicklow, Patsy O'Loughlin of Sheanebag House Aughrim passed away at the weekend.
Patsy came from a great Gaelic family and played football and or Hurling with Aughrim, Annacurra and Ballymanus and won medals with all of them at a time when medals were hard won. Members of the present day clubs united in a guard of honour at his funeral. Burial took place in Annacurra cemetery after mass in the Church of the Sacred Heart Aughrim.
