Fitzgerald, Kevin

July 16, 2008
The Late Kevin Fitzgerald The death of great Annacurra and Wicklow Gael Kevin Fitzgerald at the weekend saddened all who knew him or worked with him down the years. While the Annacurra club was Kevin's first love he also served the greater cause of Wicklow long and loyally. For over 45 years he was the County Board's regular gateman in Aughrim and other venues in South Wicklow. Kevin's second great pastime was card playing and himself and his wife were well known at whist drives all over the country. He was loyal Gael and a good friend to all who worked to promote the games at club or county level. Our sympathy to his wife and bereaved family. May to soil of his beloved Annacurra rest gently on his noble soul. Courtesy of the Wicklow People July 16th
