Seniors - Our senior team travelled to Baltinglass on Sun 21 Apr for our eagerly awaited league match. The lads were in good spirits and were looking forward to the game against our old foes. Garrett Whelan was the man in the middle and threw the ball up. Straight away it was plain to see both sides were well up for the challenge with hard and fair hits coming in from both sides. But we struck first with a good worked score and turnover from the backs for Jordan Nolan to run on to and calmly stick it over the black spot. We tagged on two more points by Stephen Carroll and Mikey O’Connor before we had a big loss in talking off our big midfielder Eoin Keogh through an injury. Anto McLoughlin and Mikey O’Connor got another point each to leave it 0-5 to 0-3 at HT. 2nd half on, we again got first point by Curtis Geraghty. It then went pear shaped for about 10 mins when Balto hit 2-02 unanswered. Were we going to be punished for missing 1.05 in 1st half..yes! We were and we couldn't get our plan back on track at all in the last 20 mins or so and went on to lose 2-09 to 0-10. Team - S. Kitt, B. Murphy, J. Gilligan, A. Curran, J. Cotter, W. Callaghan, S. Bohan, E. Keogh, K.J. Rogers, S. Carroll 0-1, A. McLoughlin 0-2, K. Hanlon, J. Nolan 0-1, C. Geraghty 0-2, M. O’Connor 0-3. 0-1. Subs – D. Boothman for E. Keogh. D. Saukauskas for A. Curran. G. Juveniles

U15’s - U15's played St Kevins at home on Wed 17 is a very competitive game.  Blessington created a lot of chances in the first half but shooting was wayward and St Kevins went in with a big lead at half time 1:01 to 2:05. Blessington upped the game in the second half and got to within a score of St Kevin's in the second half but with a considerable number of wides. With Blessington chasing a win going forward St Kevin's won a breaking ball in midfield to score a goal to seal the game on a score of 4:08 to 3:07.  A good performance and a very competitive match but a game that Blessington felt they left behind having under-performed in the first half. Scorers: Killian O’Connell 1-03, Connor Richardson 1-02, Austin Brennan 1:00, Finn Behan 0:02. Training Bank Holiday Mon 22 Apr 7:pm to 8:15pm. Wed 24 Apr 7pm to 8:15pm.
