Rathnew club notes

Rathnew Gaa 1885 is the clubs one and only official Facebook page. Any other page with our name is not run by anyone in our club and is nothing to do with our club.

 

The new ladies football team have started training for the 2019 season. Every Tuesday at 8pm with another night to be decided on soon. We are always looking out for new members so if your interested contact Katrina Murphy 0878837577 to get involved. 

 

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot on the 14th January. Numbers 7, 10, 17, 22. 

3 match 3's, Harry Murphy c/o self, Darren Newsome c/o self, Roseleen Crean c/o Martina. At the time of writing the jackpot stands at €9,100. You can get your tickets from Doyle's, The Arches, The Village Inn, Rocky's, Healy's Mini Mart, Malone's, Dowling's butchers or any committee member.

 

The club is currently replacing and upgrading the equipment in the gym. The membership for the gym is the cheapest around so if your interested contact Bobby 0851115514. Also any existing member please be aware that the code for the gym cannot be passed around and must stop immediately.

 

We are looking for anyone interested in managing/coaching our u13 and u15 boys team to contact our Facebook page or email [email protected]

 

With membership now due we are giving everyone a new incentive to pay. The national club draw is a draw run by Croke park for every club in the country. Tickets are €10 each with first prize a car and many more brilliant prizes. All the money raised from the ticket sales is retained by the clubs. For further details see www.gaa.ie/nationalclubdraw So with this in mind anyone who sells 10 tickets for the draw their membership will be covered it's that simple. Managers from each team will be in contact for ticket collection or keep an eye on our Facebook page. Closing date is February 8th.

 

Best of luck to all our players on both the county football and hurling panels who start their national league campaigns on Saturday. The footballers are in Fraher field, Dungarvan to face Waterford at 7pm while the hurlers are in Pairc na hEireann, Birmingham to face Warwickshire at 2pm.
