Eire Og building a head of steam

December 06, 2018

The future of Eire Og Greystones looks bright as they continue to catch the eye at underage level.

Having captured a Wicklow ‘A’ MFC last year, the seasiders won this year’s U20 ‘B’ FC last weekend, with much of the same crop of players on show.

Rathnew provided opposition in the final at Dunbur Park on Sunday afternoon and the Blue & Whites prevailed by double scores, 0-14 to 1-4.

“The future is bright. Lads playing football, enjoying themselves. I keep saying it, people have conferences in Wicklow about what do we do. It’s very simple – you need lots and lots of matches,” mentor Maurice Prendergast told The Wicklow People.
