Club AGM – Blessington GAA AGM on Mon 26 Nov in the Baile Coimin Centre at 7.30pm. Notice of AGM has been sent out by email. Anyone who is a member and hasn’t received an email please text Noreen on 0872858375 with their email address.

 

U20’s – The lads had a great victory in the first round of the U20’s championship on Sun 28 Oct v Naomh Eoin at home. The lads led 2-08 to 2-03 at half time. They totally owned the second half and went on to win on a scoreline of 4-17 to 2-08.

 

Final day of Academy - Well done to everyone who turned up for the last Academy morning of 2018 on Sat 27 Oct. It was a great turn out despite the Baltic conditions. There was fun and games for the morning ending with the children beating the parents in Tug of war. Each child was given a nice reward for the year, a treat for Halloween and a visit from the ice cream man. See you all in 2019.

 

Hurling

Congrats to U15 Michael Dwyer hurlers who won the A championship on Oct 26. Super displays from Blessington representatives including Man of Match Sam Gough. Blessington players: Conor Gilligan, Adam Williamson, Sam Gough, Conor Richardson and Austin Brennan. Dave Richardson and Pat Brennan are involved in management. Final score Michael Dwyers 6-06 Glenealy 0-04.

Scór na nÓg - The Scór na nÓg County Final will be held in St Kevin’s Hall in Blessington on Sun 18 Nov commencing at 3pm. As this is the 50th Year of Scór, we are aiming to increase the number of entries into each of the competitions. School/Club Link Coach - Blessington GAA are seeking a new School/Club Link Coach. The role is financially supported by the Club and requires morning/afternoon availability for 3-4 days per week. We are looking for the right candidate that is passionate about developing GAA skills and driving recruitment for our growing Club. Applicants must have a minimum of Foundation Level Coaching, Code of Ethics and Garda Vetting (if suitable applicant interested we can provide the training for above spec).
