St Patricks club notes

October 15, 2018

A large crowd witnessed a titanic battle in Aughrim with our neighbours Rathnew in the Senior County Football Final on Sunday. A first half goal from Tommy Kelly had the lads leading with a half time scoreline: St. Patricks 1-06 Rathnew 0-07. The second half was a tight game with both sides taking some excellent scores. With Rathnew ahead by the bare minimum in the dying seconds of the game full back Shane Murley found himself in position to fist the equalising score to earn a replay on Saturday 27th October with the full time score St. Patrick’s 1-10 Rathnew 0-13.

Well done to all involved for an entertaining game of football.
Best wishes to Manager Casey O’Brien, Captain Dean Healy and the panel of players Colm Byrne, Wayne Doyle, Shane Murley, Patrick O'Keane, Simon Bouchier, Conor Ffrench, Ciaran Doyle, John Crowe, Ciaran McGettigan, Padge McWalter, Paul O'Brien, Paul Earls, Stephen Duffy, Tommy Kelly, Jack Dunne, Jordan Petticrew, Aidan Dunne, James Kavanagh, Johnny Delahunt, Ian Murphy, Chris Kavanagh, Hugh Humby, Ronan Murray, Padraig Higgins, Shane Doyle, Rossa Marron, Ruairi Marron and the Management team of Gary Duffy, Ronan Connolly, Damien O’Brien, Alan O’Brien, Adam Quinn and Ritchie Murphy in the replay.
