Senior Ladies B Championship Final – Well done to the ladies who beat AGB in the final in Roundwood on Sat 29 Sep. A very tight affair with Blesso winning by the minimum 1-14 to 3-7.  Ellen Quinn 1-1, Roisin Ellis 0-6, Jess Brennan 0-5, Erin King 0-1, Shona O’Connor 0-1.

Minor Ladies - Well done to Blessington GAA Minor Ladies who beat An Tochar on Sun 30 Sep at home 9-16 to 1-7.

U12 girls - Well done to the girls who won the Amby Miley Memorial Cup on Sat 29 Sep. Full report next week.

Juveniles

U17’s – Two matches in three days in Ballinakill. After winning the league final v St Pats on Fri 21 Sep it was out to Ballinakill again to face Bray Emmets in the semi-final of the championship on Mon 24 Sep. St Pat’s played St Kevin’s in the other semi-final in the pitch below. Blessington ran out winners 4-09 to 1-11 and now face St Kevin’s in Baltinglass in the Minor B championship final at 11.30am on Sun 7 Oct. Please come out and support this great group of lads.

U15’s –Tues 2 Oct U15’s v Baltinglass in Hollywood at 7.30pm. Championship game v St Nicks scheduled for 29 Sep is rescheduled for 9 Oct.

U13’s – Football championship Plate Final Rathnew v Blessington in Ballinakill on Wed 3 Oct at 7.15pm.

U11’s – Allen Cup - Lads were away to Dunlavin on Mon 24 Sep and started really well and got some great scores. Dunlavin then played some fantastic football and closed scoreline down. In the second half Blesso kicked enough scores to come away with 33 p to 27 p win. Well done to all players/coaches and parents and supporters on the night. Thanks to Dunlavin holders of cup for being great hosts and a fantastic footballing team.

Fri 5 Oct U11 Allen cup squad play Shillelagh in Baltinglass in Allen cup semi-final at 6.30pm.

Ray Daniels Cup - We were at home to Donard and tried our best in first half but were losing well at half time. But doing what these young lads do best worked their way back in to game and win out in the end 28 p to 26 p. Well done to all players/coaches and parents and supporters for home victory. Thanks to Donard for travelling and made it a smashing game of football.

Hard luck to our u11 squad who travelled to Ballymanus to play Michael Dwyers in Ray Daniels cup. Unfortunately, they met a very strong opposition at this stage in cup and despite playing as best they could as they always and lost by a few scores. Well done to all players/coaches and parents for travelling so early on Sunday to fullfill fixtures and kids play football.

No training for U11 boys Mon 1 Oct. Wed 3 Oct Red Squad away to Dunlavin 2 at 7.15pm in last league game. Fri 5 Oct Blue squad away to St Pats at 7.15pm in last league game. Please support if you can.

U10’s - U10 NKL team who were away to Clane on Wed 26 Sep. Lads started slow but once wheels started to turn they never stopped and came away with great win. Well done to all players/coaches and parents for travelling.

U9’s – Well done to the U9 Boys who played Naas in the NKL on a very cold Wednesday evening, Our lads took a little while to get going but overall put in a great effort against a very strong Naas team , Naas ran out winners in the end by 3 scores but overall a great test for the lads. Thanks to all the parents who showed their support once again. U9’s away v Leixlip at 3.30pm on Sat 29 Sep.

JP McManus – The club would like to acknowledge the kind gesture by Mr McManus of his €100k donation to Wicklow County Board to distribute to the 38 clubs in Wicklow.
