Arklow Geraldines Club Notes

August 27, 2018

AGBs Senior Men faced St. Pat's on Saturday evening in Joule Park in Aughrim, in their championship campaign. Always sited to be a tough match, the youth and skill of the Arklow team came under tough scrutiny from the mighty experienced St. Pat's. A tough first half for both teams, saw huge efforts put in by all to win each ball. The half time score saw St. Pat's lead by four points, AGB 1-03 St Pat's 0-10.  On returning to the second half both teams really were playing to win. AGB came out from the break more settled and determined looking, and a very strong line out from the backs were making St. Pat's job quite hard to move the ball down the pitch, while the crowd were on the edges of the seats with anticipation as scores clocked in from both sides. The final score saw both teams finish level, AGB 3-07 to St Pat's 1-13. Scores were from Cormac o Shea 5pts, Philip Healy 1-01, Peter Hempenstall 1-00, Chris O Brien 0-01,Tom Maher 1-00.  Well done lads, great game.
