The Super 8's continued and the last All-Ireland SHC quarterfinal were the focus of attention this afternoon.
Following yesterday's fare, we were hoping for a step up in excitement this afternoon.
On paper, we had three very exciting games in store as Croke Park hosted another double header of football clashes, while Semple Stadium was the venue for the hurling.
Kildare and Monaghan threw in at 2pm, while Kerry and Galway started at 4pm. This concluded the opening round of the Super 8's.
Down south, Kilkenny and Limerick collided in Thurles.
