Fresh from their victory over Meath our Unbeaten Wicklow ladies will take on Longford on Sunday, 17th June at 2pm in the Leinster Intermediate Championship Semi Final at a Longford venue. This is a huge stepping stone for Wicklow and the girls are in need of all our voices so let's get organising to support our County team especially our own Niamh McGettigan, Rose Fagan, Saoirse O'Reilly and Mick Kavanagh (Management Team)

Hard Luck to our County Hurlers in the Christy Ring semi-final against London on Saturday June 9th in Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow especially our own Andy O'Brien, George O'Brien, John Connors, Christy Moorehouse (Jnr) and Gerry Connors with a final score of London 2-24 Wicklow 2-14.

It was not to be for the County Footballers who welcomed Cavan to Joule Park, Aughrim in the first round of the qualifiers on Saturday June 9th with the full time score Wicklow 1-05 Cavan 2-16. Hard luck to all involved especially our own Dean Healy, Johnny Crowe and Conor Ffrench.

Big thank you to Tinahely GAA Club and Jackie Kinch for inviting us to take part in the Ellen Kinch Cup. What a day couldn't have asked for better and all for a great cause Barretstown. Congratulations to Rebecca Hollingsworth on receiving player of the tournament. Both panels met in the semi-final with the seniors progressing to the Final to complete with the host club. An entertaining game saw Tinahely prevail by 3 points. Well done to Managers Robert Hollingsworth and Lee Watters and all the players of  the senior and intermediate panels on a super day of football in support of the worthy fundraiser The Ellen Kinch Cup.

 

Well done to the Wicklow GYW Referees especially St. Pat's girls Siobhan Gorman, Sarah Carroll, Amy Kavanagh and Emer McNulty officiating at their first games in the Blitz in  Rathnew on Saturday. 46 games were played.

 

Hard luck to our Div 3 team who lost out to a late goal for Kilbride/Lacken on Tuesday in Dunbur. Full time score St. Pats 0-07 to Kilbride/Lacken 1-07.

 

On Wednesday our U11 hurlers took on Western Gaels away and welcomed Eire Og Greystones to Dunbur. Well done to all involved with the full time scores of Under 11 Hurling Group 2: Western Gaels 0-35 - 0-00 St Patrick's and Under 11 Hurling Group 1: St Patrick's 0-44 - 0-12 Eiré Óg Greystones

 

Congratulations to all involved  with the St. Pats U13 football team who had a great team performance and win against Bray Emmetts away on Monday evening in the 5th round of the Div 1 league. Full time score: Bray Emmets 3-01 - 7-06 St Patrick's

Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps provide boys and girls - between the ages of 6 and 13 - with an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games.

Activities are player-centred with a Games Based approach with a strong emphasis being placed on personal development and well-being
Activities are also organised in an age-appropriate manner with a view to:

Optimise learning, Enhance friendships, Improve physical & psychological Well-being, Promote school and club links

OTHER KEY FEATURES ATTACHING TO THE KELLOGG'S GAA CÚL CAMPS

The camps are structured so that a different aspect of the game is worked on each day.

The programme involves coaching specific skills of the game and provide the opportunity for children to put into practice what they have learned through small sided games.

During the camp week, a "blitz" is organised to provide each child with an introduction to competitive games.

What To Bring: Packed Lunch + Drink, Hurley and Helmet for Hurling and Camogie, Mouthguard for Football, Suitable playing gear, tracksuit, shorts, runners, boots, Rain jacket and changes of gear on wet days

Our "Little Warriors" will continue on Saturdays at 10am for Boys and Girls age 4-6. Fun games, getting to meet new friends and learning new skills, are what our nursery is all about. We look forward to welcoming those back from last year and meeting our new recruits!
