Cavan captain Dara McVeety has declared himself '100 per cent' fit for Saturday's All-Ireland SFC qualifier trip to Wicklow.

The Crosserlough clubman sustained a hamstring injury in the Allianz FL Division 2 final defeat to Roscommon which limited him to a 52nd minute appearance as a substitute in the Ulster SFC quarter-final loss to Donegal.

"I'm grand now, back to 100 per cent," he revealed to the Irish News.

"I just needed a few weeks to get my fitness back up, get a bit of strength into the hamstring.

"It's the type of injury you always have in the back of your mind, especially if you're trying to fast-track it, so it's good to have that bit of training under my belt now."
