U8's - U8 boys played against a strong St Kevin's team on Sat afternoon 14 Apr at home. Our boys played really well, made some great hand passes which resulted in some great scoring many times in the game. Overall a very good team performance on the day.

U7's - Blessington GAA fielded 2 team's in NKL U7 away to Eadestown on 11 Apr. Both team played very well and won. We had few new players making their debut tonight and they did brilliant. The highlight was how well both teams passed the ball and the tackling and hard work they put in. Again, a big thank you to all parents for their support. Home games on Sat 21 Apr v St Kevin's x 2 at 2.30pm.

Go games - Go Games in Kiltegan at 11am on Sat 21 Apr.

Senior Ladies -  Blessington GAA senior ladies beat Ballyboden on Wed 11 Apr 5-8 to 2-3. The score line could have been a lot higher for Blessington as they dominated the game from start to finish in tough conditions on a fog covered pitch. But that didn't stop the girls from getting the win with some great football. Another super team effort. Well done to Sara Bohan who scored 3 fine goals after some great build up play in the forward line.

The senior ladies were very unlucky on Apr 13 against Tinahely on a score of 4-11 to 3-10. After a slow start in the first half that saw Tinahely score 3 early goals and we missed some brilliant chances hitting the crossbar twice and a couple of wides that could have been goals, the girls got into their stride and start playing some fantastic football. They completely dominated the second half with some great football and fantastic play off the ball. We maybe should have won it but in the end but we just ran out of time. We lost a big player tonight in Jess Brennan to injury in the second half after a brave attempt to score a goal. We wish Jess a speedy recovery as she is a big part of our team and hopefully she is back as soon as possible. There were some great performances on the night from Molly Cullen, Anna Vas, Roisin Ellis, Shauna Byrne, Amy Ryan, Shona O' Connor and Niamh Cullen to name a few but the whole squad deserves credit with the fight they showed the night. Scorers: Roisin Ellis 0-6. Jess Brennan 0-1. Shona O'Connor 1-01. Ellen Quinn 1-0. Sarah Bohan 1-0. Molly Cullen 0-2. Seniors are away v Erins Isle on Wed 18 Apr at 7.15pm.

Junior Ladies - Home v Newtown on Mon 16 Apr at 7.15pm.

U16's - U16's Blue Away v Tinahely on Thurs 19 Apr at 7pm. U16's white at home v Coolkenno on Fri 20 Apr at 7pm.

U14's -It has been a busy week for our Under 14 girls. On Tues 10 Apr our Blue team were away playing Bray Emmets in the Division 1 league. The whole team played really well. The girls started slowly but put in an excellent shift in the second half. Great displays of defence and tackling and some excellent support play and score taking, ending with 9 of our players scoring. Final Score: Bray Emmets 2-05, Blessington 13-13.

Also, on Tues evening our U14 White team were away to Valleymount in Division 3. A strong display by our young team against a strong Valleymount team. The girls did not stop battling throughout the game. Final Score: Valleymount 6 - 4, Blessington 3 - 6. Next up on Tues 10 Apr - U14 White Away v Valleymount at 6.30pm. U14 Blue away v Bray Emmets at 7pm.

Girls Feile - The girls were due to play a round-robin Feile qualifying competition on Sun 15 Apr in Ballinakill. Due to heavy rain, the pitches were deemed unplayable with all 4 teams already in Ballinakill (AGB, Blessington, Bray and Tinahely). It was decided to move the fixtures to Bray that afternoon and the competition was changed and a draw took place with AGB drawn to play Bray and Blessington drawn to play Tinahely in two semi-finals, with the winners to play in the final. Our girls did the club and their families proud and battled for every ball but unfortunately came out second-best to Tinahely on a scoreline of Blessington 0-2, Tinahely 0-8. Tinahely went on to beat Bray Emmets in the final. A big thank to you all the girls, their parents and families for the long trek to Ballinakill and on to Bray and apologies that all girls did not get a chance to play given the revised schedule. Training on Tues and Thurs nights 7pm to 8pm. Finally, best of luck and congratulation to all our girls on their confirmation on Friday 20 Apr. Have a great day.

U12's - Away v Tinahely on Tues 17 Apr at 7pm.

Hurling

Minors - Mon 16 Apr Michael Dwyers away v Luke O'Tooles at 7.15pm.

Feile na nGael - Congratulations to Michael Dwyers and Carnew Emmets who have both qualified for the Féile hurling after games played in Kiltegan on Sat 14 Apr.  Bray Emmets hosted the other competing teams and Northern Gaels came through that section and they will also represent Wicklow at the Féile. Well done to Michael Dwyers team and management (esp. Pat Brennan) and to all the Blesso lads Sam, Austin, Adam, Conor, Brian and Finn!

U13's - Michael Dwyers v Kilcoole at 7.15pm on Mon 16 Apr.

U9's - U9's played in the monster blitz in Ballinakill on Sat 14 Apr. We had 3 matches each. Some great hurling especially from Meabh Doyle and Layla Mcgrath on team 1 and Brandon Ryan and Fiacha Duffy on team 2. All showing great never give up and try your best attitudes. We fielded 3 teams in the Balinakill monster hurling blitz today.

Our u9s along with many U8's played Broadford on Sun 15 Apr at home. Broadford came out with all guns blazing and showed us the level that we need to be at. Many U8's got to see first-hand the step up to U9's with us running on and off subs throughout. We didn't get to settle with so many subs but a lot none the less was taken positively from today's game.

U8's - Home game v Leixlip on Sun 22 Apr at 10.30am.

U7's - Our U7s had a great days hurling with many playing their first game ever. A fantastic performance by all to ensure a 2 out of 3 game wins. Thanks to all who travelled to support our young hurlers. They were Sean Ennis, Sean Phibbs, Issac McGrath, Aodhan Ryan, Austin Murphy, Aaron McDonald, Abbey McCarthy, Sophie Fagan & Luke Fairfax. A special mention to Austin, Aaron and Abbey for fine performances.
