I thought a draw was a fair result on the night. Carlow showed great spirit an determination and could have stolen it on the night.

Lads not tryin to cause contro-versy but my opinion about football in the county is that the plane had sailed. We couldn't or haven't made the brakethrough yet so we need to concentrate 100% on the hurling. Football team takin gifted hurlers isn't helpin achieve our hurling goals. Harsh but threw.
Straight to the point I say.

nurofen talking about hurling goals it took 28 years from 68 to 96 to win an all ireland and 16 years have passed since with no success football and its managers and selectors are not to blame for this fact of matter is wexford is better at football at the moment and will be in championship longer than hurlers gaa is more than just a hurling set up

Why the downpore of rain on me here lads??
James 2011 thank you for backin me up on this one. If we stuck to the hurlin and not the big beachball we'd have a much steadier set up in the county.
That's all I'm sayin.

your doing nothing but trying to cause controversy nurofen, hurling is in a dire state, why take away from the footballers when they can achieve something for the county. matter of building hurling back from underage level more so than trying to persuade footballers who are in their prime to play at a lower level in the hurling where we realistically have no hope of achieving anything in the next few years. give football its fair go now at this stage

or how about look at it this way rathnureofen , bad hurling teams keeping lads from playing football while letting them kick soccer and rugby, if the county was 100% together as a county then we would achieve things, we need diarmuid devereux to lead a county board of change, where there is one view point and thats wexford gaa not and anyone who doesnt like that should pack there bags and head to kilkenny and sure with wexford hurling so poor at the moment its no wonder young lads would rather have a kilkenny jersey on them than a wexford hurling jersey, if lads are in the field for one sport they will play the other. Rathnurofen do you really think that people like the current minor hurling manager will lead us to the promised land, hurling people should sort our own problems and let football people worry about their too, too much looking over your shoulder is all we are doing in this county, any way Rathnurofen how are ye fixed for the weekend aginst glynn.

hurlorhurley - to clarify I am not a Rathnure man just becoz my name is Nurofen - good spot on your behalf though.
My pt. is simple however, hurlin the county would strive only for the big ball holding us back. ALot of people on here would agree with me and if you don't like to heat you may move to the kitchen

thats the best solution you have to our hurling problems is to get rid of football, would you not blame coaching standards, lack of interest from youngsters, in the 1980's when football got no go in the county and we couldnt win anything in hurling either what was the excuse then, if the best we can come up with is get rid of the big ball, then wexford hurling is in a darker spot than i really thought,

Nurofen can i make the point as a football fan that maybe hurling is holding the football back....with idiotic views such as your one pointed out. WE are a county of both codes i would be delighted to see wexford win a leinster hurling title just as much as i would love to see the footballers do so . Its viewes like yours that cuase a rift between codes........ Shame on you!!
